In October 2009 Google announced advertisers could now buy AdWord ads on YouTube videos through the AdWords Console.

• A new site at http://www.google.com/ads/youtube has the information you need to learn about the tools available to advertise on YouTube through the AdWords interface and how other AdWords customers are already having success meeting their marketing objectives on YouTube through AdWords.

I was quite surprised when I saw my first YouTube video today featuring Google ads. There were 3 ads rotating at the bottom of the video as it played. No doubt the wave of future Internet advertising.
